07 June 2021
As of 5th January 2021, and the lockdown imposition, all GCSE and A-Level exams scheduled for Summer 2021 were cancelled. Schools have been informed by Ofqual (the regulator for exams) that it will be school that will be tasked with submitting grades for students who were due to complete a GCSE or A-Level qualification. These grades will be determined by teachers based on a range of evidence produced by students.
The process and evidence will be internally standardised and quality assured before grades are submitted to examination boards on 18th June 2021. School will not be able to discuss the grades entered for students (other than with the examination boards).
