Harrogate School - latest information

Lighthouse Education Trust has been approved by North Yorkshire Council to open a new 11-19 special free school in Harrogate, known as Lighthouse School, Harrogate. The school will open in November 2026.

We are now open to consultations.

As with all special schools in North Yorkshire, places will be allocated by North Yorkshire Council based upon the assessed needs of children set out within their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Should you wish to consult for a place with us, we would suggest speaking with your caseworker at the Local Authority and key staff at your child's current school setting to inform them of your wishes.
